Heavy, Reliable Workhorse

This popular machine incorporates virtually all of the features a professional typist would want. It was designed to be functional, efficient and long lasting. The typewriter is largely enclosed to reduce typing noise and to help keep it free from dust and dirt.

One of the key features of this machine is its dual KMC (Keyboard Margin Control) keys prominently mounted on the top right and left sides of the keyboard for quick margin resetting. Clearly this machine is designed for high volume typing pool use and flexibility in producing a wide variety of typed documents.

It has a three-position ribbon color selector, reversible ribbon direction levers, an easily removable platen for use with documents of various widths, tab "set" and "clear" keys, dual shift locks, a fast-acting tabulator bar and a quickly removable top front cover to expedite key cleaning in a high volume environment.

Interestingly, while cleaning up and examining this rugged machine, I found a stray piece of likely decades-old chewing gum wrapper floating around inside the mechanism, sometimes preventing keys and the space bar from working properly.

Despite its hard working life, this vintage typewriter is still capable of soldiering on for many more years with reasonable care.
