Another of the Three Royal Flatbeds in My Collection

The 1912 Royal Flatbed #5 typewriter uses a 4-row, Qwerty, 42-key, front strike impact mechanism.

This machine is virtually identical to the previously listed Model #5 including easily-read “visible” typing, 2-color ribbon capability, backspace key, tab key and two paper holders next to the type bar impact point. It is fully functional but needs a new ribbon and a good cleaning, de-rusting and oiling, It is an excellent restoration candidate. The machine has clearly been heavily used as you can see on the well-worn space bar.

Also note the 1907 and another 1912 Royal Standard Flatbed in my collection.
